C. Thomas Tom Pope

Departed this life December 27, 2010. He was born on March 27, 1940 to Elbert F. and Mary Schwert Pope. Tom faithfully served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He graduated from Butler University and was a cost analyst for IPL. He loved to golf, travel, play cards and spend time with his family and friends. He also was an avid NASCAR and Colts fan.

Tom was a member of the St. Pius X Council of the Knights of Columbus, a long-time member of Christ the King Catholic Church and, more recently, a member of St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Marya Clouse. He is survived by his sisters Beverly M. Sokolek and Sue Leap, nieces and nephews, Alex (Eva) Sokolek, Steven Sokolek, Christina Sokolek, Terri Veller and Anissa Leap plus 11 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 30 at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church at 9:30 am on Friday, December 31, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am.
