At an early age, Calvin was baptized at First Baptist Church of Alton. After that, he became a member of Eastside Baptist Church where he was ordained as a minister and later in life, fellowshipped with Crossroad Bible Church. He then began working for Securitas as a security guard at Eli Lilly followed by Indianapolis Airport Authority for the next 18 years. He retired for the second time in February 2024. Calvin was a wonderful provider and hard worker. He was always striving to improve himself. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering around the house and grilling out with family. Calvin met Hope while working at Eli Lily and they were united in marriage in 2012.
