71, of Indianapolis, passed away February 11, 2015. Carl was born June 6, 1943 in Indianapolis to William and Marie (Goetz-Rethman) Rau. He was employed at Justus Company with maintenance for 34 years retiring in 2004. Carl enjoyed traveling to Tennessee, going to Dollywood, miniature golf, cars, wrestling and going out to eat. Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Annie Jean Rau and his brother William Rau. He is survived by his children, Sue Ann (Ralph) Fancher, Angela Renee (Jeff) Foreman, Carl G Jr., William Lee and Michael Steven Rau, brothers Jim and Joe Rau, grandchildren, Ralph James Fancher Jr., Brandon Lee Foreman and Michael Steven Rau Jr., Bryan Matthew Rau, Haylee Marie Rau. Funeral service will be Monday, February 16 at 2 pm with visitation from noon until service time Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery.
