Obituary of Carlos Francisco Pedrazza
Carlos Pedrazza of Indianapolis IN, passed away on February 7, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born on July 3, 1932 in Colombia, South America to Victor and Matilde Pedraza. Carlos graduated in Civil Engineering from Indiana Technical College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He arrived in the U.S. A. in 1955 directly to Fort Wayne and worked doing odd jobs to pay for his studies. Carlos’ first job after graduation was with the State Highway Department. He then moved on to Mid-States Engineering, followed by Geipel Demars, Schneider, and James Associates. In 1978 Carlos opened his own company ENARCO until 1994. He then opened a new company in 1994 SEA Corp until February 2018. Carlos had also worked as a Real Estate Broker and was a Notary Public. Since he was little Carlos studied music, singing, piano and guitar. He was a very versatile musician. He was a music teacher. Carlos performed in many different entertainment centers such as El Torero, The Mexican Village, La Gondola, The Lemon Tree and the Italian Village as a piano player, guitarist and singer in the 1960s. Carlos acted in two movies with director and actor Ivan Rogers. “Two Wrongs Make a Right” and “Forgive me Father.” Indianapolis was the host of the Tenth Pan American Games in 1987. Thousands of volunteers were needed in order to make this a successful event. Carlos, without hesitation, made available his office space and equipment in order to help expedite the huge amount of clerical work needed by this prestigious sports organization. Carlos was the first Hispanic in 1970 to have a one hour radio show in Spanish on WFMS-FM 95.5 “La Hora Internacional.” In that year there were 12,000 Hispanics in Indianapolis. Despite his busy work schedule, always being a very generous person, Carlos always found the time to help the Hispanic Community in many ways, and did so all the way until his passing. Carlos is survived by his wife Deysi Pedrazza, son Álvaro E. Pedrazza, daughter Debra Pedrazza and her husband Michael Dagley, sister Matilde Pedraza, brothers Doctor Álvaro Pedraza and Victor Pedraza Jr., nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. A memorial service for Carlos will be held at St Lawrence Catholic Church at 6944 East 46th Street, Indianapolis, In 46226 on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
