

She was preceded in death by her parents Ezra and Arlie Kern of Brownstown, Indiana and her husband Paul Walker of Broad Ripple, Indiana.
She was a bookstore owner and when it closed, she ran the bookstore out of her garage and sold the books online. She and her husband played Scrabble; they would make up their own rules as they went along to satisfy themselves.
Mrs. Walker was a devout Christian woman, she enjoyed being around her friends and having Sunday lunches, she was a fashionista, always had her hair done, nails painted and bright colored scarfs and jewelry. Mrs. Walker had a plethora of activities; she was an avid piano and organ player for churches and weddings, spending time with her cat Zoey, an avid seamstress, postcard dealer, square dancer and a Ballroom dancer, playing croquet, crossword puzzles and Sudoku, and play cards especially solitaire. She also loved trains since she was a she child, and loved to watch, listen and go to Cubs baseball games. She also liked hosting family get together and her younger days, she liked to bake especially pies and was an eager genealogist.
Carrie is survived by three daughters; Camilla (Cammie)(Robert whom she called Robbie) Indianapolis Indiana, Carla Henson of Chamita New Mexico, and Catherine (Cathy) of Austin Texas, five grandchildren Cathy's three Conrad, Atticus and Marguerite Stoops and Cammie's two Joshua and Justin and six great grandchildren Jeanetta, Justin Jr, Joelle (Joey), Jordin and Jewellyana (Ana) and Jacob Dorothy.
A visitation for Carrie will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Carrie will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
