Catherine Bowes

Catherine or “Cathy” was born August 10th, 1948 to Edward and Vivian Bowes in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Catherine graduated from Holy Spirit High School in 1966 and went onto study at Central Michigan University from 1966 to 1969. She received a Bachelor’s degree for Elementary Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Catherine furthered her education by receiving a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at UNLV.

She retired from Clark County Schools in 2008 as a beloved elementary school teacher.

Cathy loved traveling the world, attending concerts, playing golf and spending time with friends and family.

A woman of strong Catholic faith, she would attend Sunday mass.

Catherine will be remembered for her outgoing, bold and spirited approach to life. Her grandchildren will miss the long conversations that spanned from casual chit chat to imparted wisdom. Her quick wit and cleverness will be missed.

Despite passing away in Indiana, Catherine will always be a Jersey girl.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Vivian and Edward Bowes and her daughter , Jennifer Gualazzi.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Andrea; grandchildren, Jordan, Micaela and Alexa; great grandson, Vincent; and her adored Golden Retriever, Oliver.

Graveside service will be held on December 10 at 1pm at Palm Mortuary located at 7600 Eastern Road Las Vegas NV.
