Catherine Louise Mason

Catherine was the third child of five born to Albert Sr. and Cecelia Zickler. She was the mother of four children. She valued her children above all else in her life. She lived to take care of them and provide for them.

She is survived by her siblings Leo (Judy) Zickler, Robert (Candace) Zickler, and Patricia Ann (Zickler) Creek. She is also survived by her children, David Elliott, and Deborah Bourne-Combs (Rob), her two stepsons Josh Mason and Eric Mason (Allison), and her grand -children Lindsey Bourne, Breanna Bourne, Jaymi Combs, David Andrew Sweares, Brittany Sweares -Merchant, Tori Elliott, Roxie and Veda Mason and Oliver, Elliott, Mavis, & Graham Mason, plus several great grand-children.

She is pre-deceased by her parents Al Sr. and Cecelia, her brother Albert Jr, her two daughters Jennifer Bourne and Heather Van Buskirk, and her step-son Marty Mason.

Catherine worked her entire life and held a variety of administrative assistant positions with companies such as Indiana National Bank, ATT, Lucent technologies, in a wedding catering business, and for the Justus realtors. She was a hard worker and a committed employee for each organization.

She enjoyed going to yard sales and hunting for bargains. She loved to decorate her home with family pictures, warm carpets, comfy chairs and flowers. Her hobby was rearranging furniture at her house and at other’s homes. Her favorite holiday was Christmas.

A Graveside Service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, on October 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Family and Friends will meet in the funeral home lobby and process to Catherine's final resting place together.
