Charlene Johnette Grayson

Born to John Leslie & Serene Montgomery in 1943, she was the oldest of 7 children. Charlene was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Raised in Indianapolis, IN she attended Grade School #26 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. She earned her cosmetology license from Madam C.J. Walker Beauty School. A woman with a myriad of talents, Charlene was a gifted seamstress, innovative beautician, and dedicated and caring patient representative with Clarion Health Systems. She received numerous accommodations for her services always performing beyond the call of duty.

Her legacy will be carried through her five children, Carla Grayson (Indianapolis), Darrell Grayson (Indianapolis), Lawrence Grayson (Atlanta), Ron Grayson (Indianapolis), Maliq Grayson (Lafayette), 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her father John Leslie Montgomery and grandson Marquise Jovaughn Grayson.

A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2018 at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 11am-12pm for the gathering and 12pm-1pm for home going services with a repass to follow.
