Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every-way. “The Lord be with all of you” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV
Mr. Charles Burles, Jr., was born February 5, 1967 to the union of Mr. Charles and Bernice Burkes and he was known as “Bubby” to everyone who loved him. Bubby was a great guy and he was loved by many. He grew up with a huge family of aunts and uncles and cousins. He joined the U. S. Army along with his battle buddy and one of his first cousins, “Tony”. You would always catch him on Facebook bragging about his cooking and showing off his food. He was always reaching out to his cousins, laughing and joking and just checking up on them. Everyone that knew him loved him and knew he was a great guy. He looked out for his next-door neighbor, “Tom”.
Bubby was always looking forward to Prayer Meeting and Bible Study with Pastor Raglin and Samaria Church Family and Christian friends on Tuesday night Telecom.
Charles “Bubby” was preceded in death by his brother, Daryl Burkes.

GOD LOOKED
God looked around His garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb
So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered
“Peace Be Thine”
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you, the Day God called you Home.
A visitation for Mr. Charles Burkes Jr., will be held Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples' Chapel, 5252 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
