
He grew up in nearby Lynbrook before enlisting in the Air Force in 1950. He served during the Korean War and was stationed in Okinawa.
Chuck's love for the airline industry began in 1955 when he started work with TWA. He stayed with TWA for 25 years, first as an engine mechanic, then as a supervisor for Saudia Airlines. In 1987, he hired on with ATA, where he spent his 15 years of service as a manager of the engine shop and as a project administrator for engine maintenance. Lastly, Chuck was a PA with STS Aero Staff Services for 7 years, retiring in 2011.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Agnes Roth; daughter, Lee Schmidt and her husband, Ben Hendricks; step-son, Brian Roth; step-daughter, Jennifer Roth; 5 grandchildren, James and Durin Hendricks, Shauna Roth, Piper Hall, and Silas Stamps. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Loescher and her husband Charles, of Lee Summit, MO.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 30th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, 46224, followed by a memorial service at 6:00pm at the funeral home, which will begin with military honors provided by the US Air Force.
