Don was one of those great men that served the St. Philip parrish. He was one of my favorite dads in the old neighborhood. He and Jo treated everyone with grace and kindness and were always there to be surrogate parents to all the kids in the Eastern/Rural clans.
God bless,

I was so sorry to hear about Don's passing. On behalf of my mom and dad, Ray and Kathleen Okerson, I would like to extend our sympathies to your family. Don and Josephine were very good friends to my parents, and mom and dad always enjoyed spending time with them. They have many fond memories I'm sure, but I know they especially enjoyed sharing adventures with them as travel companions, and their visits with them in Florida.
You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Giddens family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear father, grandfather and friend to many. Mr. Giddens always had a huge smile and kind heart. My mom also got him to film a couple of the Cathedral girls volleyball games !! I will keep him and all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
