Charles R. Murdock

Charles R. Murdock, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the age of 76. Born on June 30, 1948 in Indianapolis, he dedicated his life to his family, community and income tax practice.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Dixie (Rogers) Murdock, his son, Brad Murdock, his daughter, Amanda Caughey (Ryan) and his cherished grandchildren, Tatum and Finnegan. Chuck is also survived by his siblings, Mary Houldson, Margaret Jarret and Marcia Murdock and their families, sister in law, Linda Rogers and her family, and brother in law, David and his wife, Virginia Rogers as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary Rosamond Murdock, brother and sister in law, David and Ann Murdock, dear family friend, Stephen Hammond, in laws, Jack and Hazel Rogers, and brother in laws, Dennis and Jim Rogers.

Throughout his life, Chuck worked as an accountant at Murdock Accounting and was known for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor. He enjoyed golfing and boating with friends and family, Indiana University basketball, the Indianapolis Colts and most recently the Indiana Fever.

A visitation for Chuck will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
