From a young age, Brad had an entrepreneurial spirit, owning and operating a lawn maintenance company as a teen. In college, he took on the challenge of owning and operating Accent on Catering, which he ran for more than two decades before a career change into the mortgage industry and various sales roles in cities across the country.
Brad found his greatest joys in the simple pleasures of life: sharing his love for cooking, especially crafting delicious meals and his famous wings and grilled pizzas, which brought family and friends together. He found peace and happiness on the water, spending countless hours boating and waterskiing on Lake Cumberland and Lake Lemon. His passion for adventure extended to Colorado where he explored off-road trails and rock crawling in his Jeep. Above all, Brad loved the Florida beaches, accompanied by his golden retrievers, Max and Sophie. His kind smile, big hugs, infectious laughter, and thoughtful gestures brightened the lives of everyone he met.
Brad is survived by his mother, Dixie; his sister, Amanda (Ryan) Caughey; his niece, Tatum and nephew, Finnegan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will carry on his legacy of love and kindness. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert Murdock; grandparents; uncles and aunt; and dear family friends, Stephen Hammond, Jack Wharton and Sam Bowlen.
Brad will be laid to rest privately, at Crown Hill Cemetery, beside his father.
