

On December 25, 1954, Charles was united in Holy Matrimony to Helen LaJoyce Fellows, in Evansville Indiana. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Evansville In, in 1952, He received his associate degree 1956 and bachelor’s degree 1959 from Lain Tech Inst, he also attended ITT Tech Inst where he received his master’s in Industrial Electrical Engineering in 1968.
Charles, joined the U.S. Army in 1952, his primary duties was Combat Medic an received honorable discharge.
He moved his family to Shelbyville Indiana in September 1956 for a Draftsman position at General Electric. He started at Cummings Engine Company in Columbus IN as an Electrical Engineer in September 1974, where he retired in 1996 after 22 years of service. In 1985 he moved to Indianapolis Indiana. He joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Trustee Board.
He joined McFarland Lodge #5 in Evansville Indiana and was raised to be a Master Mason in 1955, he demitted to Golden Crown Lodge #34 in Shelbyville Indiana in 1956. In 2000 he demitted to Southern Cross Lodge #39, where he served as a trustee, recording secretary and on the by-laws committee. He demitted to Constantine Consistory #25, in 2000 and in May 2005 he received his 33° in Chicago Ill. He was a Past Worthy Patron of Fidelity Chapter #30 and Purity Chapter #51. He serviced on Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Jurisprudence Committee and recording secretary.
Charles served as Church Clerk and Deacon at Second Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Indiana. He was so proud of his work on the rebuilding of the Church. He was the first troop leader for Second Baptist Boy Scout Troop.
He was a board member on Shelbyville Girls Club Association (Vice President), NAACP, Executive Board Member Finance Chairman, Model Building Mechanic Member Alliance, Association for Electrical Engineers, Shelbyville Jaycees Association and the Target Shooting Association.
He enjoyed building and designing for his family and friends, who came to depend on him to fix or build what they needed.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Charles Lonnie Reynolds, mother Alice Brooks-Reynolds Turner.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of sixty-seven years Helen (Joyce); three daughters, Charlette Reynolds (Michael Martin); Deborah Gamble (Derrick) and Barbara Reynolds; son Byron Reynolds; his grandsons Charles Jackson II (Nikki), Hendersonville, TN, Eric Jackson II(Sarah), Indianapolis; granddaughters Monique Bell (James), Indianapolis; Briana Gamble(Jermaine Rodriguez), Washington, DC; nine great grandchildren, Jaylynn, Quinlynn, Emmanuel, Marshall, Calel and CharlieMarie Jackson, Ava and Emeri Rodriguez and Brandon Bell. Three brothers-in-law’s, Brooker Fellows (Betty), Jerome Fellows (Dana) and Harold Fellows (Georgia); Sister-in-Law Ruth Fellows, his uncle Jerry Reynolds (Rita) White Plains Ky and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
