Charles Kenneth Rowland

Charles Kenneth Rowland,72, died peacefully in Indianapolis on February 5, 2016. Charles was born September 20,1943 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Barbara Scott Rowland and Charles E. Rowland. Both parents preceded him in death. Charles attended Shortridge High School and joined the United States Air Force, serving at Bunker Hill/Grissom AFB until 1965. While in the Air Force he developed a lifelong interest in military aircraft and history. After completing his military service Charles worked for Chrysler Corporation in both Indianapolis, IN and Kokomo, IN retiring in 2004. He leaves to cherish his memory his children Lynn D. Rowland, Tiffiany R. Rowland, Michelle Y. Jackson, Michael A. Woodruff Sr., grandchildren Christopher, Kendall, Antonio, Shamiyah, Natasha, Dominique, Natoya, Darnell, Michael, Carl, Sydney, Quincy, Devin,14 great-grandchildren, his loving and devoted brother Michael D. Rowland Sr., nieces, nephews, dear friends Charlotte Hazelwood and Earnestine Mayes and extended family members and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospital North and Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation at Allison Pointe for their care and support.
