Charles professed his life to Christ at an early age. Charles attended Shortridge High School and successfully graduated in 1960. He then attended Central State HBCU in Wilberforce, Ohio and graduated with a business administration degree.
Charles married Brenda Spreen on December 1st, 1965. From this union, two daughters, Dana and Brandyce were born. Charles was an entrepreneur and had three beauty supply stores in the 1980’s. Charles retired from FedEx after 30 years of employment as a package delivery driver.
Charles was a very loving and devoted father, uncle, cousin, and friend and will be remembered and cherished for his unconditional love he bestowed on so many. Charles will be cherished and remembered for his wonderful personality, sense of humor, willingness to help others and his generosity.
Charles departed this life on September 1st, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Everett Vandever Jr.
Charles is survived by his devoted daughters, Dana and Brandyce. His significant other, Desiree Peck; grandchildren Mariah, Nathaniel, and Brea; nephews David, Charles and Damon and his niece Christie (Josh) and a host of relatives and friends.
