I had the honor of knowing Charles when I was an undergraduate at Butler and he and Marv taught our school of business career classes. I then got to call him a fellow colleague while working on staff there. He was kind and sweet. Many wonderful memories of his helping and caring nature. 💙

Ahh, Charles--always kind, always gentle, always spiritual and always attentive to those around him.  He and Robbie were always special to our daughter, Megan.

We were privileged to have spent several Lenten suppers in their home and they in ours.  The last evening you were at St. Thomas for the Lenten Mission will always be in our minds and you in our hearts.  STA will not be the same without you.  Rest well, friend.

Few people make me feel as warm as Charles did. He is one of the most sincere people I have ever met, with genuine concern about others. He always gave love to my family and I always felt he was praying for us. He would always say hi to my son Louie and when he was little thought him how to properly share another man’s hand: look at him in the eye and shake with confidence, he would tell my son.

I am so sorry to hear of Charles passing. Had a wonderful evening with Charles, Robbie and guests in February. Have known both of them since our children were preschool!  
Will keep all in prayer and will of course attend Charles funeral.

Charles was a true gentleman, always greeting me with a smile and a hug at St. Thomas Acquinas.  Sincere condolences to Robbie and family.

When I learned of Charles' passing today, I was speechless and wept for the loss of one of the nicest, neatest human beings I've ever met.
 
His quiet demeanor belied a brilliant mind, a caring human, a man profoundly in love with his wonderful wife, Robbie.  

They welcomed me into their friends circle and we shared many laughs and deep conversations about the state -- especially now -- of the world and broccoli. 

I will miss his gentle ways and wise council immensely.

My heartfelt condolences.  I was a mentor with Charles at Butler.  He was an inspiration and always willing to give advice and share his wisdom.  The mentor party at your home was warm and wonderful, just like all of you.

I hope your warm and loving memories bring you peace.
