Charlie Willie Mitchell, age 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Charlie was born March 29, 1938 in Bartow, Florida the son of the late John Willie and Jonnie Mae Mitchell.
Charlie was a bus driver for Metro/Indygo for many years. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957, was a member of the Tillman H. Harpole American Legion #249, DAV and a member of the 4 C's.
Charlie is survived by his wife; Yvonne Mitchell, sons; Michael (Jacqueline) and Danny Mitchell, brother; Dennis Mitchell; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; god daughter and host of family and dear friends.
Services for Charlie will be held on Thursday, February 15, at 12:00 pm at Family Funeral Care with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service.
