

93, of Indianapolis, passed away with her family at her bedside, on November 24, 2013. Charlotte was born on October 24, 1920 to J. William and Lili Hofmann. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lewis C. Bose. She graduated from Shortridge High School and Swarthmore College. Except for time spent in Washington, D.C., where she served in the Navy during World War II, she lived her entire life in Indianapolis. She was a patron of the arts and entertainment, giving generously to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Art Institute, Museum of Art and the Symphony. She was an artist and musician in her own right, but only for the pleasure of her friends and family. Charlotte was a devoted mother. She raised, and is survived by five children, sons Tom, Carl, John and Bill Bose, and daughter, Anne Wickizer. She had fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Crown Hill Funeral Home Gothic Chapel at 12:00 P.M., with visitation there from 11:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Symphony and Museum of Art.
