Her father, Otis L. Flakes Sr, mother, Ruby Mae Allen- Flakes preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Julian Wilson (Jean), Guy K. Hornaday (Tamela), Gregory Wilson (Sylvia), Stephan R. Keith (Caroline), brothers, Samuel Adib Shabazz, Rev. James E. Flakes (Martha), Rev. Larry Flakes, sister, Lou- Ann Thompson (Charlie), 6 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Her visitation will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2014, 9am- 12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel. Her burial will take place Sutherland Park Cemetery.
