

Christine White was born to the late Nathaniel Owen Tinsley and Jannie Bohannon Tinsley in Oldhand County, Pee Wee Valley Kentucky on September 15, 1923. The family of 13 moved to New Castle IN, in 1934 and in 1936 moved to Indianapolis, IN. Raised on the East side of Indianapolis, she attended and graduated from the public school #26 and Graduated from attended Crispus Attucks High School.
Christine White united with the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in 1938 where she heard the Gospel preached at an early aged and believed and was baptized. She was an usher, a deaconess and faithful member for many years, until her health began to fail. Which at this time she was cared for by family and stayed with her sons and daughter-in-law for about four years were she also attended her sons Church Grace Apostolic were she was loved just as much as her home Church Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.
Christine White met Robert L. White at Emmanuel. On January 6, 1942 they were united in Holy matrimony and were married for fifty-six years. In this union was born four children Kenneth, Ronald, Charles and Christine
Christine White was an awesome cook and she loved to cook for anybody and enjoyed seeing them eat, she would bake a cake for anyone including her Pastor. She was a special lady who loved her family with her whole heart. She had a beautiful spirit and was hospitable to all who knew her. Her home was a place to gather, to eat, and be loved. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, caregiver, the backbone, and matriarch of the family
Christine White departed this life on Monday June 13, 2016 at the age of ninety-two years, six months, and thirteen days. She was proceeded death by her husband Robert, two of her Children Christine and Ronald, and her grandchild Shevale White Easley. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memories one brother: Nathaniel Tinsley, her two sons: Kenneth E. (Patricia) White and Charles White. Four grand-children: Lonnie White, Tanya D. (Anthony) Smith, Veronica White, Ronald Mcgee. Great grand-children: Shavawn Mathis, Kerry Easley, Christine Easley, Kevin Easley Jr., Emilie Flynn, Anthony Smith Jr. Neontae Rogers, E'malie Jordan, one sister-in-law Dorothy Whitted and a host of other relatives and friends.
