He retired as a maintenance worker from the Catholic Archdiocese after 38 years of service. He was an Army Veteran, having been stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska.
He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Claude Norman Harper, Jr., stepson, Rev. Anthony Quarles; sisters: Eva Russell and Edith Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
His visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 9am to 11am, with the service commencing at 11am in Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel. The burial will immediately follow in Sutherland Park Cemetery.
