Claudia Ethel Cannon Nix was born on March 19, 1934 the daughter of Sim Cannon and Mary Chatman Cannon in Parma, Missouri.
She was a member of Fountain of Life Word & Worship Center and the U.A.W. Local 292. She was employed as an assembler at Delco Electronics, retiring in 1980 after 15 years of service.
Her parents, 3 brothers, Lewis, Harold and Alonza Cannon, 2 sisters Hazel Louis Gaines and Georgia Lee Cannon preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Lee Nix, Sr., sons, Harvey Lee Nix, Jr. (Lindell) of Malden, MO, Robert Ivy Nix, Sr. (Kimberly Gipson) of Kokomo, Billy Ray Nix, Sr. (Dana Brown) of Kokomo, Kenneth S. Nix Sr. of Kokomo, Jeffery G. Nix, Sr. of Kokomo, daughters, Patricia A. Perrigen of Kokomo, Barbara J. Matthews (Marvin Newman) of Kokomo, Versie L. Nix ( Edw. Bay) of Logansport, IN, brothers, James Cannon, Sr. of Kokomo, Jerry Carnell Cannon, Sr. (Joann) of Kokomo, sisters, Annie M. Young (Leroy) of Kokomo, Dorothy Perkins (Pastor Gene of Malden, MO, Peggy L. McClatchey of Lafayette, IN, brother in law, Frank Gaines of Las Vegas, 92 grandchildren14 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013, 12 Noon at Grace Memorial Institutional C.O.G.I.C. Elder Dennis Sanders will be the officiant and Superintendent Gary Bush will be the eulogist.
