Life History of Cleveola Jetter
Mrs. Cleveola Jetter, a native of Valdosta, Georgia, was born to the late Bessie Mae and Ezekiel Johnson. She is the seventh of nine siblings. She was raised in a Godly home and came to know the Lord at an early age. While growing up, she sang in the church choir and also served as an usher in the church. Cleve felt singing was a calling from God because that was always her passion.

Cleveola Jetter was first married to Willie James Hawkins II. To this marriage, they were blessed with three wonderful children, Hannah J. Hawkins, Bessie E. Hawkins and Willie J. Hawkins III, whom Cleveola loved very much. She had much joy in seeing her family grow with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cleve and her family relocated from Albany Georgia to Indianapolis, Indiana. Cleve was also a key Punch Operator in the State House in Indianapolis, Indiana. Later, she was a secretary to Consultant in Indiana Department of Education.
