

Constance Jean Johnson Williams, the daughter of Robert Johnson and Lillie Mae Merriweather, was born October 4, 1944, in Providence Kentucky. Her parents both preceded her in death. Connie was the oldest of two children. When she was two the family moved to Indianapolis.
Connie was educated at IPS School #26 and Arsenal Tech High School. After 25 years of employment with Wonder Bread, Connie retired in 2002 and really enjoyed being retired. Connie was a devoted mother and grandmother. Connie loved cooking for her family. She said they always appreciated and ate whatever she cooked. She enjoyed decorating, shopping, and doing things for and with her family. She had a sense of humor that was appreciated because she could laugh at herself. She also had a contagious laugh.
In 1980, Connie was baptized in Jesus Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly. She always said her life really did not begin until the Lord saved her. Connie served on the Baptismal Committee which she loved. Connie further sung in the sanctuary and women’s choir and served on the Benevolence Committee and other capacities as a volunteer.
Connie was the mother of six children, her youngest son Steven E. Williams preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy two sons Anthony Williams, Dino Williams (Dorrel); three daughters Sharon Williams, Tracey Williams, Dawn Shoulders; brother Robert Johnson (Geneva); two nephews, eleven grandchildren, one grandchild preceded in death; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and one god son.
