Our dear father, brother and grandfather passed away Saturday evening, the 23rd of January, 2016. Daniel was born April 28, 1937 in South Bend, IN to the late Robert and Dorothy Riordan. He was married to Carole Sheahan, May 18, 1957 in South Bend.
A 1956 graduate of South Bend’s St. Joseph High School, he worked his entire career as a heavy duty truck salesman, retiring from Stoops Freightliner in 2011. He was a lifetime Notre Dame Football fan, and was active in the Boy Scouts of America.
Dan is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carole and daughter, Cathleen.
He is survived by his four sons, Brian P., Michael J., Kevin T., and Daniel J. Jr.; two brothers; three sisters; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 28th at Christ the King Catholic Church. Friends may call at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, Wednesday, January 27th from 4 – 7 pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Indianapolis Humane Society.
