

Daniel Craig Wood died unexpectedly at his home in Indianapolis on August 18, 2015. Beloved son of Craig and Mary Wood, Daniel was born September 30, 1976, in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania. Daniel grew up in Tampa, Florida and graduated from Tampa Preparatory School, where he lettered in basketball. Daniel held a bachelor’s degree from Montana State University and served in the United States Navy. At the time of his death, Daniel was completing a graduate degree in health administration and working for Roudebush Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Services were held for Daniel on September 8, 2015, at the Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. Rev. Stacy Fischer Gehring from First United Methodist in Bloomington, Indiana officiated. Attending the service were Daniel’s many friends and family members from across the country, including California, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Eulogies celebrating Daniel’s life were given by his father and three close friends: Mr. Jeff Zorn, Boston, Massachusetts; Mr. Greg Miller, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Mr. Peter Melaragno, Miami, Florida.
Daniel enjoyed music, movies, sports and travel, and most especially spending time with his sister Jennifer Howard, his brother-in-law Mark Howard, his niece Natalie Howard, and nephew Warren Howard. They and his parents survive him.
Daniel will be remembered for his kindness and warmth, his wit and sense of humor, and his engaging personality with that great laugh and big smile.
