Darrell A. McCullum Sr. was born in Erie, PA to L.R. McCullum and Nora Mae (McNear) McCullum on May 10, 1960. He was a graduate of Academy High School and also attended Tuskegee University.
He worked at State Chemical Company for many years as a regional manager. Most recently, he worked for IndyGo – Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation as a Professional Coach Operator for 7 years. He was also the founder and creator of Belum Menswear since 2016.
My husband, Darrell A. McCullum Sr., was a man of unwavering faith, a loving protector, and devoted provider who always put his family first. He carried strength with grace and led with love, making sure those he cared for felt safe, supported,
and deeply cherished.
Darrell had a heart for adventure and loved to travel, creating beautiful memories. No matter where life took him, his greatest joy was always his wife, children, and family. They were the light of his life, and he poured his heart into being the best father, husband, and role model he could be. He was the kind of man whose presence brought comfort, wisdom, and encouragement to others. Darrell was known for his dapper, unique style — whenever he walked into a room, he owned it. His passion for dressing well and good-smelling cologne inspired him to start his own clothing line, Belum Menswear.
He’s a man of few words, but when he does, it’s powerful. His faith in God guided his steps, his love touched countless lives, and his legacy will continue to live on through the values, strength, and love he instilled in his family. Though he will be deeply missed, Darrell’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life was a true reflection of faith, love, loyalty, and purpose.
