

David Allan Hohman, 66, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 18, 2025. Born on December 28, 1958, in Tiffin, Ohio, David lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and his unwavering dedication to helping others.
A proud supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, David devoted his time and resources to advocacy, equality, and creating safe, affirming spaces for young people. He was a longtime donor to the Indianapolis Youth Group (IYG), an organization close to his heart.
His kindness also extended to animals through ongoing contributions to the SPCA, reflecting his lifelong love for pets and their wellbeing.
David was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Hohman (1967); his mother, Ann C. Hohman (2004); and his brother, Daniel A. Hohman (1996).
He is survived by his longtime loved ones, John Irish and Oriah Rosenberger; his brother, Dennis A. Hohman; and his sisters, Debra A. Smyser and Denise A. Kramer, and her husband, Mark Kramer. He is also survived by his nieces Tiffany, Taylor, Jessica, Cassidy, Carissa, Mackenzie, Payton, Jordan, and Sydney; his nephews Shaun and Aaron; his great-nieces Emma, Valentina, Ryleigh, and Kyla; and his great-nephews Dylan and Colton.
David will be remembered for his warmth, humor, generosity, and the profound impact he had on everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on through the communities he supported, the people he loved, and the countless lives he touched.
