David "Dabo" Leroy Lolla-Martinez

With very heavy hearts we announce the passing of our son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, fiancée , and dear friend David (Dabo) Leroy Lolla (Martinez) passed away from this world on the 25th of June 2025 at the age of 55 years young in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Born on the 2nd of February 1970 in Indianapolis, Indiana to David L. Lolla and Willa Mae Ratliff (Rouse). He was the brother to Gale L. Lolla, Kormen L. Lolla (Baksh), and Bridget Y. Lolla-Childs. He attended Broad Ripple High School and Knightstown High School earning his high school diploma. He then attended Valparaiso University and was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp.

Dabo's Legacy is one of laughter, that mischievous smile, and unwavering dedication to whatever he put his heart into. He loved playing basketball, he loved being in his studio either making music or listening to it, but more than that he loved his children. He will be deeply missed. Though David's time here with us was cut short his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

He is survived by his loving mother, Willa; sisters, Gale, Kormen, and Bridget; children, Nicholas, Renatta, Alaina, Anya, Sariah, Elijah, and Makailah. In addition, his loving fiancée Chadney Stone-Benning, and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father David L. Lolla.

A visitation for David will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Jerusalem Temple Apostolic, 2125 E 54th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
