Deana was born in Muncie Indiana to Sharon and Glenn Hindman on January 31st, 1975. She was raised in Middletown Indiana and attended Shenandoah High School. She was previously married to David Howe and together they had two children.
Deana dedicated 25 years of her career to Inotiv (formerly Harlan), where she began working as an animal technician and later became a customer sales representative. Her strong work ethic and commitment made a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Deana became a mother on December 7, 1999, when she welcomed her son, Christian Howe, and again on October 5, 2005, when her daughter, Addison Howe, was born. She loved her children more than life itself and supported them in everything they did. Deana’s kindness, joy, and unconditional love will continue to live on through them.
In addition to spending time with loved ones, Deana had a deep love for animals, going to concerts, and taking road trips. She was always ready for an adventure. Deana had a way of making everyone feel welcome—she never knew a stranger and quickly became like a second mother to many. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and that love touched countless lives.
Her love for the television show The Young and the Restless was unmatched, and is only rivaled by Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll. Above all, Deana will be remembered as a beautiful human being who knew how to love and who gave far more of herself to others than she ever expected in return.
Deana is survived by her children Christian Howe (Riley) and Addison Howe; her parents, Glenn and Sharon Hindman; her nieces and nephews Chasity (Bob) Morris, Shawn Howe, Dustin Howe, Amanda (Terry) Morris, Branden Howe, Justin Gainey, Tyler (Cassandra) Howe, Cheyanne Howe, Meilyn Howe, and her Godson, Bentley Morris.
Deana is preceded in death by her grandparents, Bobbie and Betty Emswiller and Samuel and Evelyn Mix.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 East Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237, on March 15, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00, with a time for friends and family to gather beginning at 11:00am.
