Deborah Elaine Smith was born January 22, 1949 in Indianapolis,Indiana to Ralph K. Smith and Howard Rainey Smith. She was the only daughter of three siblings with two beloved brothers, Hollis Wayne Smith & Charlie Kenric Smith. On August 10, 2008, Deborah was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Gerald Donaldson.
Deborah’s favorite passions included singing and writing poetry. She was masterful in writing Acrostic Poems! She was dedicated to encouraging and lifting up the spirits of others by creating acrostic poems with your name or something relevant to your life.
Deborah loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved helping others and serving whenever and wherever she was needed.
Deborah Elaine Smith-Donaldson departed this life on Saturday May 11, 2019 at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 19 days. We will sorely miss her smile, phone calls, poetic expressions, stern demeanor, and her kind, compassionate, caring heart.
Those left to celebrate her life, love and legacy are her husband; Gerald Donaldson; One & Only Daughter, Tamika Shurece Duncan (Corey Sr.); Brother, Charles Kenric Smith; Grandchildren, Nialah, Corey Jr., & Zion; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her (father) Ralph K. Smith, (mother) Howard Rainey Smith and (brother) Hollis Wayne Smith.
