IN THE CARE OF
Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery
Delores Ann (Ragsdale) Wing, Adams, died on August 2, 2022 from Alzheimer’s disease. Dee was born in Indianapolis, on November 7, 1935, to Mildred and Lee Ragsdale.
Dee proudly lived in Speedway, in the same house for 61 years, where she will be remembered for ALWAYS BEING HAPPY! She loved sitting on her front porch where she enjoyed visiting with neighbors, friends, and family. She always treasured the simple things in life. She loved going to the movies with her friends, monthly Symphony outings and her Friendship Club. She never missed the weekly garage sales, and if you drove past a garage sale while she was in your car, she would insist that you turn around and go back. But most of all, Dee loved the family get togethers, where she could just sit back for hours and enjoy everyone’s company.
In 1987 Dee married Thomas Adams. They had many adventures together and enjoyed making memories with their loving family and friends. This happy marriage was cut too short, when 4 years later Tom developed cancer and passed away in 1991.
Dee was fortunate to have been blessed with many lifelong friends, who have continued their friendships from grade school until her death. She and her girlfriends from Washington High School formed a “Friendship Club” while in High School, and that group, although it has changed a bit over the years, continues strong today.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, son Randy Wing and husband Thomas Adams. She is survived by her daughter: Vickie (Jim) Price, grandchildren: Chris (Stefanie) Price, Jodi Newell, Kimberly Conrad, and Rachel Conrad, great-grandchildren: Baylie Newell, Josie Newell, Eston Price, Luca Price, and Dylan Price.
Also grieving: Thomas Adams III, Victoria Adams, John (Lori) Adams, and Faith Adams, along with 16 Adams grandchildren and 35 Adams great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to all of the caring staff at The Village of Avon and Paradigm Hospice.
Service will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St, on Tuesday, August 9th at 12pm, with visitation starting at 10am. Visit www.crownhill.org for more information.
