Delores J. Rathz

Born on September 11, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Delores was the daughter of Everett and Alma Hacker.

She was reunited in death with her beloved husband of 71 years, Raymond Rathz, who passed away just two months earlier.

She also was proceeded in death by her dear brother, Robert Hacker.

Delores devoted her life to her faith and to the family she cherished above all else. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched the generations.

She is survived by her five children: Debra Ward (Phil), Kathleen Bowman (Scott), Elizabeth O'Donnell, Shirley Getz (Bill), and Raymond Rathz Jr. (Kim).

She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren: Jennifer Bailey (Drew), Christie Ward (Michael), Rachael Allex (Matt), Michael O'Donnell, Lauren Moreillon (Connor), Dan Getz (Zoe), Emily Getz (Lawton), and Anne Getz. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Sawyer, Spencer, Samuel, Ava, Nathan, and Claire, all of whom brought her immense happiness.

She had many hobbies, among them were quilting and jewelry making, the skills of which, she enjoyed passing down.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Enlight Hospice Care, especially Karissa Hess, RN; Aryanna Hess, Hospice Aide; Mychal Hha, Healthcare Aide, Anitra Winbush, Hospice Aide, for the exceptional care, comfort, and kindness they provided during Delores' final days.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church in Fishers, Indiana. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass.

Delores will be remembered for her enduring love of family, her gentle spirit, and the legacy of faith, compassion, and devotion she leaves behind. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
