Denisel Mark Allen Steffey

into Heavenly eternity on January 19, 2025 at the age of 54.

Mark lived life on his own terms, with the wind at his back and a Harley beneath him. His love for

the open road was second only to his love for his family and the countless people who were

fortunate enough to call him a friend. Whether roaring down the highway or out tearing up the trails,

Mark had a way of making sure he and everyone around him had a good time. He truly never met a

stranger- just friends he hadn’t made yet.

A natural jokester with endless one liners, Mark loved to make people laugh. His quick wit and

hillbilly sense of humor could light up the darkest days and remind us all not to take life too

seriously. But beyond the laughter was a man with an enormous heart, always ready to lend a

helping hand and give the shirt off his back. Whether fixing a neighbor’s car, helping a friend move,

or simply listening when someone needed an ear, Mark gave freely of himself without ever

expecting anything in return.

Mark is survived by his Mother Teresa Wilson; His children Jessica Billman, Garrett Taylor, Joshua

Steffey, and Victoria Steffey; and his grandchildren Elyse Billman and Miley Billman who will forever

cherish the love, laughter, and memories he gave them. Mark was preceded in death by his brother

Michael Steffey whom he shared a lifetime of mischief, love, and laughter with. While Mark’s

passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, there is comfort in knowing “The Steffey Boys” are

together again sharing a bittersweet reunion in Heaven. Only God knows what they are up to!

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Friday January 31st at Family Funeral Care 5791 Rockville

Road Indianapolis IN 46224, where we will share stories, laughter, and memories—just as he would

have wanted. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor his memory by performing an

act of kindness for someone in need. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, Indiana

Ride free, Mark. Your journey here may be over, but your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of

those who loved you.
