Dennis Joseph Whitlow Sr.

Dennis was the son of Alfred Whitlow and Claudia Marie Campbell Ridenour born on March 11, 1948.

Dennis served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following the military he worked as a railroad engineer for CSX and INRD railroad for several years before retiring.

He loved traveling, being on the go, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children Dawn (Jon) Chambers of Anderson, Renee Whitlow of Indianapolis, Dennis Whitlow Jr. of Chicago, Joseph Whitlow of Decatur, Illinois; (5) Grandchildren Katie (Reid) Schwinn, Megan Chambers, Langley Chambers, Daniele Howard, Everett Whitlow; (2) Great-grandchildren Rosemary Summe and Renlee Schwinn; Sisters Cindy Wolf and MaryBeth Poe.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Alfred Whitlow and Claudia Marie Campbell Ridenour; sisters Pamela Jenkins and Linda Folino; grandchildren Angel Chambers and Charles Michael Anderson.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service with full Navy Military Honors will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery inside the Gothic Chapel (please enter the 34th street entrance and proceed straight ahead to reach the Gothic Chapel) on September 25th at 12:00pm. Dennis will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery following the service.
