Derrick Coward was born March 9, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio to Nathaniel Coward and Lucille Haynes. He moved to Cleveland, Ohio for most of his life. He graduated from John Hay High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Derrick later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.
Derrick served in the United States Army. He loved to cook. Derrick worked as a cook for over 40 years. He was a Jack of all Trades. Derrick loved to have a good time and was a lovable person. Derrick knew so many people and everyone loved him.
Derrick leaves behind his sister Zandra Jones; Brother-in-law Willie Jones; Nephews â€" Charlie Navarro; Tory Navarro; Elijah Jones. Nieces- Tonia Navarro (Greg); Tracy Johnson; Nicole Navarro; Sandy Navarro. Step-daughter, Nikyah Meadows. Girlfriend-Maxine Collins, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and several other family and friends. He is going to join his Mother & Father, Uncles and Aunts in Heaven.
