His family moved to the eastside of town, where he attended IPS School #83. Deryc Jennings Sr. graduated from Arlington High School in 1984, and attended Ivy Tech for a couple of years. He changed his life, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, in 1999, and never looked back. Deryc met a beautiful woman named Alta Reese, and were together for four years before he was saved. Once they both received the Holy Spirit, he married Alta and gained a daughter Daniesha Neville, on September 3rd at the Justice of the Peace, and October 30th at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly for the ceremony, in the year 1999. They had a beautiful marriage that lasted 26 years, both having Deryc Jr. and Destiny Jennings. He was a talented singer, songwriter, and producer before he got into church. However, he used his talents and gifts for ministry ,and created four gospel albums. Deryc Jennings had a deep love for souls and outreach, he wanted to spread the gospel to anyone that had an ear to hear about the good news. He began his ministry at Methodist Hospital which sparked him to go into the hedges and highways to help people receive the Holy Ghost with his Salvation Survey. He wanted to spread the Gospel even further and began his podcast BBN (Bible Believers Network) teaching God’s Word. Deryc Jennings was also passionate about Health and Wellness, and taught about nutrition and different ways to reverse disease/illnesses naturally. He was a very inspirational person that poured into family and friends and was a pillar in our community.
Deryc Jennings left behind his beautiful wife Alta Jennings, his mother Jewel Jones, along with his siblings & their wives, Carlos and Shawntoya Jennings; Theodore and Taina Jones; Benjamin and Stephanie Jones and Jennifer Jones. He left his legacy to his beautiful children, and grandchildren. Daneisha Neville and her children (Nickalya Harris, Keira Harris, and Rhema Harris), Deryc Jennings Jr. and Destiny Jennings, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was so warm and welcoming, and was a man after God’s own heart. Elder Jennings will be forever missed.
