Desiree was born November 22, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana and was preceded in death by her parents Milton Sill and Rose Marie Cornner. Also, her sister Constance Green and brother Milton Sill Cornner Jr.
Until she was able to attend due to her health, Desiree was an active and faithful member of Burton Temple CME where the Pastor Thomas McClendon presides.
Desiree graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and later graduated from Pontiac Business Institute.
After graduation she worked for the banking industry at Bank One, Key Bank and Salem Bank as a Data Entry Operator.
Desiree was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family member and friend.
All who knew and loved her were acquainted with her being very blunt, not sugar coating her remarks and being there for you with a listening ear and going out of her way to help others.
Desiree was a master cook in the kitchen, her signature dishes were chicken and noodles, macaroni and cheese and sweet potato pie.
Desiree was very neat and organized and could tell you the exact location of household items. Desiree enjoyed playing cards with family members, going to the casino and playing bingo. After leaving bingo her favorite line was “They took my money”.
Desiree’s favorite color was purple, so when you wear the color purple remember her radiant smile that she shared with us all and which resonates in the memories of her love ones today.
