Indiana on November 5, 1961.DONALD professed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership ofthe late John W. Short.
DONALD attended the Indianapolis Public Schools and worked for Indiana Asphalt and Paving for over 30 years. On November 26,1983, he was united in marriage to Angie Thompson.
DONALD loved watching Cowboys and Western Shows on television. He loved being around people and as a young man, he loved cars.
DONALD loved giving nicknames to his nieces and nephews. His oldest niece, Rene, he immediately called "Blimp" to his youngest niece, Shilah, he affectionately called "Japanese. He was very protective of his sisters and his favorite saying was "UMGAWAJACK" .
DONALD LEROY HAGGARD departed this life Tuesday,
December, 10,2013 at the age of 58 years, 1 month, and 3 days.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie Thompson Haggard; father,Albert Cole; stepfather, Walter George, Sr.; brothers, Jerry Wayne Cole and Walter J. Norris; son, Dujuan Thompson, Sr.; and a grandson, Dujuan "Fatso" Thompson, Jr.
DONALD leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Deven
Haggard and Derrick Haggard; daughter, Donielled Haggard;
stepdaughters, Nikki Johnson and Usurla Johnson; five
grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Anthony D. Allen, Terranced Lanier, and Albert Goodloe; stepbrother, Walter George, Sr.; sisters, Brenda Kay White (Phill), Sheri Elaine Shipp Larry), Patricia Lanier, FeliciaAmold (Ell), Tracy Williams, and LaTonya Cole; stepsisters, Victoria McKinley and Kimberly George; two aunts, Catherine Rutledge and Frances Rutledge; two uncles, Shelby Hogue and Willie Cole (Lois); a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
