69, of Avon, IN, passed away December 26, 2017. Donald was born July 6, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN the son of the late Ivan Russell and Irene Johnson. He had worked as a construction foreman then later worked at Danville High School for many years. Donald was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1968 to 1970 receiving the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service from September 1968 to September 1969. Donald is survived by his son; Randel (Christy) Russell, sisters; Debbie Taylor and Cheryl Jefferies, brothers; Bobby and Dale Sawyer and a grandson; Dean Russell.
