

79, died September 7, 2015 in Carmel, Indiana. Dorothy was born March 18, 1936 Albion, Michigan to Clarence and Mary Catherine (Jordan) Adrianson. She was a 1953 graduate of Olivet High School. Dorothy married Edward Volstromer on April 10, 1953. Together, Dorothy and Ed raised two daughters in Battle Creek, Michigan. They lived in Battle Creek until 1989 when they moved to Cottonwood Arizona. They both enjoyed living in the beautiful Red Rock area of Arizona. Upon Ed's death in 2011, Dorothy moved to Zionsville, Indiana to be closer to her grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward J. Volstomer: sister, Shirley Knapp of Scottsdale, Arizona and both of her parents. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Cain of Carmel, Indiana and Karen Yarnell (Robert) of Aurora, Colorado; her sister, Genevieve Eishen of Olivet; and two granddaughters, Dakota and Sierra Cain. A reception with be held to honor Dorothy’s life with friends and family at her home, The Hearth at Tudor Gardens in Zionsville, Indiana and a private graveside service will be held in Battle Creek, where Dorothy will be laid to rest next to Ed at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Hamilton County Humane Society, 1721 Pleasant Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.
