

Earl Don Durbin Jr., 89 years old, returned to his Heavenly Father and the arms of his loving wife, Jerry, on July 30, 2024. Don was born to Earl Don Sr. and Luella Durbin on May 30, 1935. Don's older sisters alway reminded him that he ruined their Memorial Day picnic. Don was a generous person who would do things quietly, without wanting any recognition. He was a devout Catholic who was a member of St. Matthews Church and most recently Christ the King Catholic Church.
Don was a loving husband to his wife, Jerry. He was a devoted father to their three children, Don, Steve, and Teri. He took great pride in his business, Adding Machine Service and Sales, in downtown Indianapolis. Don's life was marked by his commitment to his family. They enjoyed many camping trips to Lake Cumberland, Kentucky and winter getaways to Treasure Island, Florida. They we joined every year by their children and their families. They spent many great days on the beach and then evening family dinners.
In one of the last conversations he had with his son Don, he summed it all up by telling him "We did it our way," and they did.
Don is survived by his children, Don (Jo-Ann) Durbin, Steve (Kathy) Durbin, and Teri (Blake) Parkman; grandchildren, Brian, Shawn, Emily, Adam, Jason, Kyle, Cody, Zach, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Kashden, Parker, and Rowan; sister, Marilyn Feltman; and sister-in-laws, Joanne Durbin and Pennie (Jim) Nossett. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Lou Smith Durbin; infant baby girl Durbin; parents, Earl and Luella; brother, Jim Durbin; sisters, Peggy Toffolo, Phillis Souviner, and Joan Gudgel; and great-grandson, Samuel Don Durbin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220. A service is to follow at 4pm.
In remembrance of Don's life and legacy, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
