He attended Blessed Holy Life Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Deacon, Treasurer and he was in the Male Chorus.
His father, Willie Reaves, mother, Ida Mae Whitlow- Reaves, brother, James Reaves, sisters, Willa Mae, Ossie Belle preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Edward Lee Reaves Jr, James Wilson, daughters, Regina Stringer (Johnny), Wanda Perry, brothers, Aaron Reaves, Jerry Reaves, Larry Reaves, Thomas Reaves, Oliver Benard Reaves, sister, Marcus Reaves, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His visitation will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014, 11am- 1pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 1pm at Barnes United Methodist Church. His burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
