Edward Christopher Ruppe, age 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Ed was born November 22, 1937 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Joseph and Lenore Ruppe. After high school, he joined the United States Army. Ed served in the Army for 7 years. Ed worked for Grain Dealers Mutual as an insurance adjuster for more than 30 years. He loved fishing and being outside. Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Ed is survived by his son, Christopher Ruppe; siblings, Joseph Ruppe, Dave Ruppe, Roger Ruppe, Margaret Ruppe and Mary Ruppe; and 5 nephews and 6 nieces.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Paul Ruppe.
A visitation for Ed will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Feeney Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219. A memorial service with military honors will immediately follow at 1:00 pm also at the mortuary. After the military honors conclude, family and friends will be invited to share memories of Ed.
