Edward E Smith

Edward Earl Smith was born in Indianapolis Indiana on Feb. 15, 1967 to Eva Mae Lake and Eddie Smith.

Edward received his education in the Indianapolis Public School system and was a graduate of Manual High School. He also attended Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Edward was a Service industry professional most of his life. He worked for several of the largest hotels in downtown Indianapolis as a server. He also worked for several of the most notable Indy catering companies. He also later worked at the Indiana Convention Center.

Edward enjoyed music, dancing and cooking. He was an avid gardener who liked raising plants and flowers. His other interest were drawing, playing the guitar and piano. He was a devoted son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend who will dearly missed by all.

Edward Earl Smith departed this life on May 28th 2020 at the age of 53.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Eva Mae Lake, Father Eddie Smith, and Beloved Uncle Fred White Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory -brothers Charles Lake Sr., Welton Lake Jr., Willie Lake, Rafi Lake and sister Barbra Staples as well as his aunts,

Daisy Waddy and Pearl White along with a host of nieces,nephews,cousins and his life partner Mark Sutherlin,his beloved dog Shaka and cat Speckles.
