Elbert Colson, Jr.

an Indiana resident for over 60 years, was carried away by angels to be with his Heavenly Father on March 17, 2022. He was born to Maggie and Elbert Colson on May 31, 1938.

He was employed by Grady Brothers Construction Company for over 40 years and had the privilege of paving the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union #103. He loved his children and grandchildren. He loved being outdoors and loved to fish. He was a member of Eternal Life Baptist Church, and a member of the Capital City Conservation Club.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Becky Colson, Sons, Anthony Colson (Kellie); Kevin Colson (deceased); Daughters, Lisa Colson, Beth Ponto (Joseph); Granddaughters, Michelle Houston (JB), Kaitlin Leedy (Casey), Megan Reynolds; Great-Grandchildren, Seth, Emma, Lila, Jace, Lucas, Aden and Liam.

Burial arrangements will be under the care of Family Funeral Care. There will be no calling.
