Elder Lee Andrew Powell, Sr., 89 of Indianapolis, Indiana, transitioned from labor to reward on the night of December 12, 2017. He was an Elder and member at Robinson Temple C.O.G.I.C. He had been in construction for many years. Elder Powell leaves to cherish his wonderful memory and celebrate his life, loving wife, Mary Powell; children: John E. Powell (Mariza), Lee A. Powell, Jr. (Ada H.), Theodis Powell, Sr. (Patricia), Alex Powell, Sr., Bryant Powell, Mary E. Powell, Ada Green, Lillie R. Jones, Gertrude Johnson, Dorothy A. Greene (Ronald), Arnetha Powell, Sandra K. Powell, Shirley C. Powell; siblings: Elder John H. Powell, Jr. (May Nett), Katherine Watkins, Mauderine Cannon (Doug) and Annie C. Ford (Eugene); 57 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and host of extended relatives, church family and friends. His visitation is Saturday, December 23, 2017, 9am - 11am, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing promptly at 11am at Sanders Temple C.O.G.I.C. The interment will immediately follow in New Crown Cemetery.
