

He was born on September 26,1946 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of the late Lynn and Iona Warren. He was the youngest of three siblings. He attended Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, IN and ultimately received his bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Accounting from Indiana University. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a medical transporter during the Vietnam War.
He married Lloyetta Jean Lumsey in Indianapolis, IN on December 22, 1974. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force, he was employed by the Department of Defense as an Accounting Manager for 33 years. He was passionate about his love for God and young people. He demonstrated this as he served for many years as a church elder, a youth basketball coach, and he led the charge to create a youth-oriented church service. He also was a dedicated volunteer who partnered with those experiencing homelessness, seeking opportunities to serve whenever he could. In his later years, he served as a devoted mentor for many young men.
He is survived by his wife, Lloyetta, his daughters Meredith Jones (Larry), and Allyson Thomas (Chris), his sister Geneva Warren, his grandchildren, Maya and Jackson Thomas and Larry, Lauryn, Lamar, and Levi Jones. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews Leigh-Angelique Warren, Carmen Thompson, and Christopher Warren.
Elmor was preceded in death by his father, Lynn Warren, his mother, Iona Warren, and his brother Roosevelt Warren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel with Chaplain John Douglas Simons officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Cemetery.
