Obituary of Emily Rae Blankenship
Emily Rae Blankenship, age 72, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday December 27, 2018. Emily was born September 7, 1946 in Miami, Florida to Marion (Bailey) Whidden and Milford Blankenship. She was a member of Bridge Church in Fortville, Indiana and was proud to be retired. She was the matriarch of her family that she loved dearly, especially her favorite child (her cat, Goose). She was a devout Christian and a tissue and bone donor. Emily is survived by her children, Dawn Badger (Randy), Debbie Parkhurst (Doug), Darlene Crain (Paul), and James Barton (Paula); sisters, LouAnn Parrish and Crystal Hagan (JR); grandchildren, Randy Jr., Nicole, Amanda, Megan, Amber, Lori, Wesley, Coleton, Rhett, Tifanee, John, Bethany, Presha, TJ, Levi, and Reghen; and 17 great grandchildren. Emily was preceded in death by her father, Milford Blankenship and mother, Marion (Bailey) Whidden; son, Kirk Douglas Crouch; and sister, June Betterton. A memorial service for Emily will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Bridge Church, 611 Vitality Dr., Fortville, Indiana.
